The Carnival Parade is a brilliant way of promoting a group, club, pub, school or business. Carnival Parade Categories
Class 1 - WALKERS IN FANCY DRESS (NO FLOAT)
Class 2 - WALKING GROUPS (NO FLOAT)
Class 3 - TRADE / BUSINESS – BEST DECORATED VEHICLE / FLOAT
Class 4 - NON TRADE – BEST DECORATED VEHICLE / FLOAT
Class 5 - BEST OVERALL ENTRY (this class is for judging purposes only)
Class 6 - BEST VISITING CARNIVAL COURT
Class 7 - BEST MAJORETTE TROUPE

We have changed the way the street collection is dispersed – this year if you enter the parade any money you collect can be given towards a 'non-profit making organisation or registered charity' of your choice. All we ask is when you have counted how much you have raised you let us know so we can see how successful this way of doing things is.
Directions to Broad Green
The Carnival Parade will leave Broad Green at 1pm.
Route: The parade will start from Broad Green down High Street, Church Street, Midland Road onto Castle Way, Sheep Street, Silver Street, Oxford Street, Northampton Road and Gillitts Road finishing at Henshaw Road . Walkers and small vehicles to enter Croyland Park. Large vehicles to travel onto the Kingsway to let their passengers off their float.
Be a safe carnival goer

All entrants in the Parade to report to the registration desk at Broad Green from 10am
The parade will start at 1pm prompt
The theme 'Anything Goes' means that you can dress and decorate your float however you wish - go wild and make a bold statement. But make sure you have fun!
In the event of bad weather please make sure you keep an eye on this website where information will be posted on the home page.
Information
Participants may collect for their chosen charity whilst on route. Please let us know how much you collect and which charity has benefited from your donation.
The Carnival Parade route is as follows:
Starting from Broad Green down High Street, Church Street, Market Street, Midland Road, Castle Way, Sheep Street, Silver Street, Oxford Street, Northampton Road, Gillitts Road - finishing at Croyland Park on the Henshaw Road side entrance. Walking entries, small vehicles and Carnival Courts to go onto the Park, with big lorries carrying along Henshaw Road and onto Kingsway to let their passengers disembark from their vehicle.
BE A SAFE CARNIVAL GOER - PARADE TIPS
Please ensure that all those in your group are fully briefed and understand that they are taking part in the Parade entirely at their own risk
PARTICIPATION IN THE PARADE
Please ensure all children remain on floats at all times. Adults should be used to collect any coins from the road to avoid children putting themselves at risk running alongside vehicles collecting coins. Participation in the parade is entirely at your own risk
SPECIAL NOTE
Toilets are available at Broad but no changing facilities.
RULES AND REGULATIONS FOR A SAFE PARADE
Please ensure that children and young adults are supervised at all times. Ensure that there are no trailing leads etc. and wear sensible footwear if walking. If you are playing music your equipment must be used in the way it is recommended by the manufacturers. All electrical equipment should be PAT tested. For safety reasons objects may not be thrown into the crowd. Please be aware of the weather conditions
JUDGING
All entries will be judged on route
Please be a considerate Carnival Goer
Rules of the highway apply, do not drive whilst on a mobile phone, or let children ride on the outside of your car. This is dangerous and anyone found doing this will be removed from the parade
